The Childrens Act 2004 places duties on a range of organisations to ensure they safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015, Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and the Children Act 2004, place duties on a range of organisations to ensure they have regard to the need to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. This includes the need for appropriate safeguarding training, as employers are responsible for ensuring staff are competent to carry out their responsibilities towards the safeguarding of children and young people. This qualification can be used to support the training of employees.

Who is this qualification for?

This accredited qualification is suitable for learners working, or wishing to work, with children and young people. This includes those in voluntary or unpaid positions.

How long will it take?

To complete this qualification, learners should expect to undertake a Total Qualification Time (TQT) of 2 hours.

These include signs and indicators of abuse, vulnerability, reporting safeguarding concerns and legislation of Safeguarding.

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by a multiple choice quiz at the end of each module. Upon successful completion, you will be award a printable certificate of your achievement.

Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety in Catering

The law requires that all food handlers need to be trained according to their food handling work activities. Should an employee achieve a Teach Me Food Safety qualification, which is suitable for the work they do, it will assist food business operators in proving that they have displayed due diligence and are therefore compliant in the eyes of the law.

This course  ensures that a food handler is aware of the hazards and controls associated with the types of food they produce.
